Synopsis

Album Description
World Premiere Recordings! Antonio Buzzolla (1815-1871), now forgotten except by music historians, was a musical prodigy who played five instruments by the age of seventeen and was hired to play in the orchestra of Teatro La Fenice in Venice. He became an internationally known teacher, called "the Italian singing master" in several countries. His opera Ferramondo was produced in 1836, and in 1844 he became director of the Italian Opera in Berlin.
