"Burning spear ,a brethren with scores of classic 70's roots reggae classic albums such as "Marcus Garvey" and "Man in the Hills" and so many others, has done it again! This new album is a modern roots classic in my opinion, especially since sides from this abum remind me of ones he composed of in his youth. Highly recommended! ROOTS!!!!"

"I have been with Burning Spear since back in the day when "Garvey's Ghost" and "Marcus Garvey" came out. In fact, I just ordered those CD's again to supplement my original albums. I've listened off and on throughout the years and feel that this particular disc has some of that old spirit in the songs. Vivid and bright musical songs are sprinkled throughout this disc for a thoroughly entertaining disc for old and new fans alike. The first thing is you have to like reggae, given that starting point you can't go wrong with this disc. Their sweet vocals incorporate the radical elements of Rastafarianisn almost subconciously, in practica1ly a subliminal way. Any muisc that sounds this good can't be spewing politics right? Wrong. It is just done in such a way that it is not hitting you with a sledge hammer but rather percolatng under the surface behind dance rhythms, heavy bass lines and the occasional dub vibe. The album is sweet. "Together "(extended mix) is a song of note that incorporates all the aforementioned elements for a great result. The vocal stylings are the stength of Burning Spear. The song "O'Rastaman " reacalls the urgency and deep soul sound of the classic "Marcus Garvey" disc but with an updated, upbeat-dance-friendly beat that can only make you smile. It kind of reminds me of something Third World would do. Another hot track is "Little Garvey"(extended mix) that has a nice interlude of instrumentation that is dub wise. If you are new to Burning Spear you could jump in right here, picking this spot over their extensive discography but I would recommend listening to the album "Marcus Garvey" to see if this is for you. Recoomended for fans of classic reggae in the vein of , The Mighty Diamonds, Steel Pulse, Third World or Bob Marley."

"Sonido brillante, un de los nuevos mejores sonidos volviendo de nuevo al roots como viene acostumbrando pero con nuevas incorporaciones.

Disco cargado de muchas colaboraciones por parte de musicos amigos

del entorno de Burning Spear.

Buen mensage, canciones pegadizas. E increible sonido compacto entre todos."
