Great songs, lousy CD

"There are some obvious difficulties in trying to publish CDs from recordings done by the early blues artists. The existing recordings are usually of pretty low fidelity. But this disk was worse than I expected.A good digital transfer should have been able to clean up the hisses and pops. Worse yet, the songs aren't even very well equilized. I wanted to turn the volume up and down as I listened to the disk.Bull Moose Jackson was a great talent, with a terrific sense of humor as well. But this disk is not the way to introduce him to someone.Furthermore, King sells two CDs both called "Greatest Hits Of Bull Moose Jackson". At least there are no overlapping songs, but his greatest hits are spread evenly between the two CDs. They really should have been combined into one disk, and then digitally edited for better sound quality."

"What a geat quality cd, I love the msuic and the wonderful quality of the cd. The overall results of thsi cd, make it a perfect way to get introduced to the high spirited msuic of Bull moose Jackson. Great 50's rockin' jump blues!!!"
