"Songs of SAC/SEA" is a double album on one CD. "Songs of SAC" make up the first ten selections, with "Songs of SEA" (Southeast Asia, referring to Vietnam) making up the next 12. There's a total of 22 songs on the CD. The first part reflects the impressions of bomber pilots and crews as seen through the eyes of one of their own, Bull Durham. Bull delivers the story of SAC (Strategic Air Command) in clever lyric and deep, commanding voice. Strong instrumentation with a country flavor underscores the power of the message throughout the album. Bomber pilot though he is, Bull has allowed himself to come under the influence of fighter pilot friends. In the second half of the album his songs about the Vietnam War recall the old wounds with power and pathos.
