"The best Qigong music I know of. Buedi Siebert is a multi-talented German musician/producer who also creates great jazz and experimental albums. This CD comes with a very pleasant booklet with good descriptions of some basic Qigong forms, albeit in German.
The music is unpretentious and non-invasive, two aspects that unfortunately appear on many meditation/relaxation recordings. This CD provides a very pleasant "floor" for your excercise and never tries to draw attention to itself. This is ego-free music, a perfect partner to Qigong or slow Taiji practice.
The music meanders off into the realm of the barely audible at times, giving space to some happily chirping birds and babbling waters, but it returns at what always seems to be "just the right momnent". There's a simple 4-note signature melody that repeats once in a while, again providing the listener with a floor to stand on while the body gently dances with the clouds.
The music is played on 100% authentic traditional, acoustic Chinese instruments, no electric anything. The music would as well be excellent for basic relaxation or autogenous excercises. A Yoga teacher friend of mine has tried this CD at her courses and it's funny, but, it doesn't really feel right with yoga."
