CD Reviews

So-so
Dana C. Steinman | SyracuseNY | 04/05/2000

"I originally was interested in this soundtrack because it contains the superb Taylor Dayne dance track "Plant Love", but then I noticed on Amazon that "Half Breed"--Cher's classic--was listed as a remix. Immediately my interest in the CD had risen...then had crashed as fast after hearing that it is indeed NOT a remix but the original verion. Otherwise, this collection is not bad, but all of the best tracks can be found elsewhere. "When Will You Learn" by Boy George is available on single, as is Dayne's track. "G.A.Y" from Geri Halliwell is not domestically available on any other release, however does appear on the UK #1 version of her latest single "Bag It Up". "The Name Game" (Shirley Ellis) and "Sidewalk Talk" (Jellybean) round out the list of best tracks and are both popular staples that appear on countless other compilations with tracks that will surely better suit your tastes. So, buyer beware if it is the "Half Breed" remix that is tempting you to purchase this. You will be had. And the price of "Planet Love" on single is half of the price of this, and worth it."
A flawless soundtrack

"This CD is a lot of fun. It brings back many memories of growing up. If you like to reminisce about the good ol' days, you should definitley check this soundtrack out. Good flick-great disk."
