"Babygrande spoils us with two new blazin' albums on a same day, one of which is Wisemen Approaching. Well, as soon as I heard that exec. producer is Dreddy Kruger, and Bronze Nazareth is among the producers as well, I knew that whatever is coming is in good hands and at least is going to be tight. However, Wisemen Approaching turned out to be more than tight. The beats are intricate and vary greatly from song to song, which keeps your attention peeled. Lyrics... well, names like Vast Aire, Planet Asia, Killah Priest and GZA speak for themselves.
If you heard and enjoyed Think Differently Music, you'll love Wisemen Approaching. If you have not, than Wisemen Approaching is a good place to start."

"For an album like this to come out in 2007 is just another reminder that no, hip-hop is not dead, it's just a little harder to find (for another near-classic 07 release cop NYOil's HoodTREASON). The production is not only on point, it is mesmerizing, poignant, and as such the album's replay value is through the roof. Of course, as other reviewers have said, the X-factor here was the trio of debuting emcees, Kevlaar 7, Phillie, and Salute. All of them have the ability to conjure up images in the listener's mind that would make him swear he was watching a movie - Ghostface and Raekwon anyone? Only this isn't mafioso rap, it can at times be politically driven and at times be introspective. The wordplay is good, although they're not as quirky as Wu; they have their own style. The bottom line: you need this album. It is the best hip-hop album so far this year."

"First impressions ARE important and as the cover art work suggests some quality work has been put in here. Just bought this and although I'm not to familiar with some MC's on here, Bronze and Killah Priest aside, they all bringing some quality skillz to the mic. Beats an that sound new and fresh. Just go buy it if you love HIP-HOP."
