"I'm going to try and give as much information about this release as I possibly can, becuase Amazon doesnt seem to be on the ball. Bright Channel is a three-piece band out of Denver. This 2004 self titled release is thier only record to date.



The record is on Flight Approved, a label originally started to release PTERANODON's stuff. It was mixed and recorded by Steve Albini. Bright Channel is Jeff Suthers on guitar and vocals, Shannon Stein on bass, and Brian Banks on drums. "Bright Channel" was named Radio 1190(the Colorado University student radio station)'s #1 record of 2004 (yes, it was ranked over The Arcade Fire's Funeral).



Having said all that, this is a great record. The band is primarily revered for its live performances, but the record flows seamlessly and the music doesnt have a dull minute. The sound is hard to discribe. It sounds like slower(mostly) distorted pop-punk with more unique lyrics. I guess it could be grouped into "Shoegazer"."
