Fun party music.

CD Reviews

I'd rather listen to cats making love

"This CD sounds like a great idea- all that fun beach party music everyone seems to love. Then you pop in the CD. You listen to Kokomo, and hear that *gasp* IT ISN'T THE BEACH BOYS. These guys covering the song can't even do a simple harmony right as the bass line goes tenor on the word "bahama" in the chorus. Suddenly the atmosphere at the party takes a nose dive as the singers on the disc are attempting renditions of the songs instead of the REAL thing you were expecting. Daquiries are dropping and margaritas are getting mauled as people are racing to get away from the speakers. If you want beach party music, grab a Jimmy Buffet CD and encourage everyone to sing along like at the concerts- LOUD and way off key. It's a lot more fun, and still sounds better than Drew's (in)famous music."

"I agree with the person who wrote do not buy this, a thousand times. It is trash, maybe elevator music, but even elevator music is cheesy and you know it. I was suckered into buying this but no where did the cd have the words "sung by imposters" on it-or something remotely like it. Who makes this junk? ANYHOW, don't, please, please---don't buy it. You will be sorry. One star is a stretch. The licenses to buy the music so they could be recorded by this company should be revoked. Yes, for kids, the music is cool, but the problem with that is there will be a whole generation out there, who if they aren't savvy enough, will think these songs are what we all listened to growing up. THey're digitized spam from some spam artist lounge lizard who is getting rich making these. The REAL originals are always worth the price. Even if you have to borrow or download one song at a time for your Hawaiian Luau themed party, don't, I repeat & beg of you, DON'T WASTE your money on this garbage. Invest in the real music. You won't be sorry!!"
