CD Reviews

This will tide u over until new POISON cd

"the first couple of listens, i was a little disappointed..but it gets much better after repeated listenings. the production quality isn't all there, but it has heart..and bret michaels is a hell of a songwriter..his lyrics are often funny, poignant, touching, etc. i guess my faves on here are 'human zoo' and 'times like these', both of which would please any Poison fan. i actually give this record 3 & 1/2 stars. i love poison, but still look forward to bret's solo career. see ya!"
There's no one like Bret!!

"I love everything Poison has ever done and when Bret put out a solo CD, I had my doubts, but this album is awesome. It helps to see the movie to understand some of the songs and where they come from, but his vocal ability and incredible songwriting speak for themselves. Bret is my favorite artist of all time and while I hope Poison is always together I look forward to future solo albums from Bret. He flat out rocks!!!"
Not Poison -- just as fantastic!

"Bret Michaels has done it again! Don't buy this expecting to hear another CD with the Poison sound, though. Michaels has captured in this music the raw emotions of love, sex, cynicism, and rage -- this music is blues, rock, ballad, all rolled into one fantastic music experience. With the exception of a couple of tracks (too much rap influence in these, sorry!), the songs show the broad range of Bret Michaels' talent. Especially great are "Party Rock Band", "The Last Breath", "The Devil Inside", and "69". All I can say is "WOW"! Bret, don't quit writing. I'm starved for more great music like this!"
