"Nice little batch of hip hop n jazz cuts based around the talents of producers/performers Andrew "Bread" Sherman and the B-boy "Butter". They spin out a nice batch of short but funky tracks that blend hip hop rhythms with a classic jazz sensibility-- and which feature a stunning array of guest stars, including Dizzy Gillespie, Roy Hargrove, La Lah Hathaway, Kenny Garrett, and Dana Bryant, who does her usual hipster poetry thing. The set's got 18 tracks in all. There's not really any rapping, despite the "hip hop" sound. Instead, the set grooves with the sort of vibe that you'd find on Greyboy's Ubiquity albums."
