Synopsis

Album Description
Brandon Sandefur and his band RoughCut play classic traditional country music with a contemporary and sometimes rock influenced style. The guitar playing is biting and dramatic, the vocals pure country and the sound is given an extra twist with the heavy use of harmonica throughout. From hard driving country rock to old time shuffle and honky tonk to lush ballads this album has something for anyone who loves contemporary country but yearns for the guts and integrity of the past.

CD Reviews

Great voice, great charisma

"I heard Brandon and the guys at Legends Corner bar in downtown Nashville. What a great place to drop in, a cool Honky Tonk bar with a real "Honky Tonkin'" kind of guy. Right place, right time for me! The band was incredible and I think this album is a great combination of country rock and traditional country. Brandon's voice seems to do either very well. A MUST for country fans."

"Brandon's sound is quite distinct and the songs are great. "Now Your Tonkin'" is one of the best and "The Bull" is unusually strong. The whole album is diverse. I hope more and more people listen to his songs. Really a find!"
Just what country music needs

"It is so nice to listen to a country artist who isn't cookie cutter top 40 that has been coming out of Nashville lately.Excellent dance tune(Tonkin), great ballads(Same Old Tear) and (Driven) is definetly a hit. Great CD, where do I hear this guy in concert ?"
