Brandi Shearer's been compared to everyone from Annie Lennox to Fiona Apple to Norah Jones to Amy Winehouse and her live show has been compared to Janis Joplin. Brandi's songs dig deep into your psyche and gut. You'll be replaying them in your head. "Heaven" is a powerful borderline creepy song. When she sings "I want to go to heaven like other little girls"...you believe her call for redemption. "Yes, Yes, Yes" is the album rocker-great opening hook. "My Boy is Coming Home" is a tale of having something in your life and you don't have the courage or the right to keep it. Brandi sings " If I could just recall the courage of my youth, I'd press my face to yours, I'd promise you the world." Longing, loving, passions running high, screaming at the top of your lungs: the parts of the sum that is this musical gem."
