Dan | Ohio | 11/13/2005 (5 out of 5 stars) "I wish I knew more about this recording, such as the context in which these songs were recorded-- I'm assuming they were improvised, given the nature of their other albums. Not that it really matters... the music is simply exquisite. The musicians play and play off each other in such a manner that you can't even imagine them playing in a studio environment, but rather over a vast landscape. The echo-drenched instruments often create almost drone-like tones that mix with other tones to generate new tones entirely. However, the echo is never overwhelming, the music is never cluttered- the musicians have impeccable timing, but there is no discernable rhythm. A very beautiful and accessible "ambient" (?) album from a collective of very talented musicians."
