A Wonderful Rarity!

"Many Bobby Hutcherson fans will claim that his greatest recordings were the early avant-garde 60's albums with Blue Note. I beg to differ. I think that it was during the 80's with the Landmark label that Bobby really found his true comfort zone and made his best recordings.
This Landmark CD is no exception. It is a relaxed studio session where Bobby plays a mixture of standards and original compositions with support of a fine group of sidemen.
The playing is brilliant with no shortage of Bobby's trademark 16th notes on the fast numbers.
Since this CD is quite rare, you will probably have to spend some real money to get it unless you are very lucky. (I managed to find it for a reasonable price from a dealer in South Africa!)
Anyway, it is worth every penny you will spend if you are a true Bobby Hutcherson fan."
