CD Reviews

Our best so far!
Robert E. Brookmeyer | grantham, nh United States | 04/05/2004

"This is the "coming of age" CD from us -- also our 10th year together -- and I think it presages new and unexpected things to come. It's a wonderful bunch of people with extraordinary gifts and good will. Truly a labor of love. bb"
Far Beyond Five Stars.
Paul S. Brewer | Grand Rapids, MI United States | 04/26/2005
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Bob Brookmeyer is one of the greatest jazz musicians of all time. There is no composer/arranger/orchestrator alive who can match his brilliance. He is a composer's composer, an arranger's arranger, and an orchestrator's orchestrator. And add this, too: His individuality as an improviser on the valve trombone has stood the test of time for decades. He has no peers in that regard. Bob is it. The One and Only.

This CD is tremendous. The music on this CD is a musical oasis, a paradise, and a sanity saver amidst all the psychologically poisonous "music" of pop culture. THANK YOU BOB AND BAND!

There aren't enough stars in the universe for this CD. Supernal. Gorgeous. AND SWINGING!
