"Blue States is Andy Dragazis. Through the past few years - since 1999-2000 really - he's put out a few very good releases. I'll always remember "Nothing Changes Under the Sun" as one of the best albums that I own. It's the sort of soundtrack that's free, experimental and just grows on you exponentially when you listen to it for the third time in a great stereo. "Man Mountain" followed it up and while I don't think it was nearly as strong, relying more on lyrics than the previous album in 2000, it was still a strong release. Unfortunately (for me) he went in a completely different direction with "The Soundings", an indie influenced album that has both high fives from fans, and depressed thumbs down from fans of his original works.

This is a 3 track single - not necessarily off of "Man Mountain" from 2002, but from the movie "28 Days Later", a film about post-apocalyptic London. With that said the mood of "Season Song", featuring the chorus of people young and old but dominated by children, fits the mood of the film - hope in the darkest of days. While it admittedly wasn't my favorite track on "Man Mountain", it does fit the mold of the movie. The song's given a solid remix by trance guru Rui Da Silva (remember "Touch Me" back in 2000-2001?), and there's a heavy elextronic remix to John Murphy's "Taxi" - the song builds up to a dead silent whisp before a near etheral voice whisps over the air - again with the movie in mind.

All in all, this is actually a fair single of the movie's theme but I must admit that I only got this a few years ago because I'm a Blue States fan and wanted to round out the collection. IMO the remix is dated and there's far better electronica and Blue States material than this. I think you're better off getting "Nothing Changes Under the Sun" or "Man Mountain" in general because you'll have not just more songs, but better ones too."
Amazing song gets equally amazing remix

"It is hard these days to find a truly great song, let alone one, which employs such unique features such as a children's choir. Rui Da Silva's remix of "Season Song" is a deep progressive house masterpiece. When a great song is remixed, there is usually something lost, but not here. Rui Da Silva keeps the uplifting spirit that makes the original so great. A subtle voice of a female humming backdrops the entire song and makes you want to hum it for the rest of the day. Highly Recommended!"
