"The Black Maria have successfully followed up Lead Us To Reason with a solid performance on A Share History In Tragedy. Though vocalist Chris Gray doesn't really vary his voice too much, he still manages a unique sound in comparison to other bands. (One area it would be interesting to hear him explore would be more screaming a la Atreyu's Alex Varkatzas. He lets one scream loose on track 2 that sounds great.) The guitar on this album isn't anything shredtacular but is more used as an instrument of art as many bands don't use it today.
Although all the tracks are pretty solid, the first few times listening to it tracks 1 (The Perilous Curse), 2 (Waking Up With Wolves), 4 (Van Gogh), and 8 (Living Expenses) seemed to stick in my mind clearly. Definitely an album worth buying and if you're looking for a new band that's a mixture of alternative and hardcore The Black Maria is one of your best bets."
