"Buy this album! Buy it for Our Winter Love alone! This instrumental is exquisite, its arrangement one of the greatest of all time, a masterful combination of layers and layers of haunting sounds, all done with a simple basic set of notes (!) not chords, but the effect is electrifying. If you have a heart and can feel, you will be moved like never before. I first heard this on the radio in 1970 but only remembered the title, and could not find it, and years later, even though the melody had faded I still remembered the uplifted way I felt after I heard it, and with the advent of the internet, I finally found this treasure. Everybody I have introduced this song to has absolutely LOVED IT and wanted me to get it for them! The song's use of flat and sharp notes is amazing, hits the heart, and if you listen closely, it covers the entire saga of love yearned for, the longing of love, and ultimately the triumphant closure of love achieved. I listen to it everyday and still don't get tired of it. Now, the other songs in the album are basic fare, nothing real special. Farewell to Adra is nice, catchy, as are some of the other tracks, but nothing compared to Our Winter Love. This song put Bill Pursell on the map, but he was a one hit wonder, and none of his other songs made it, this album was really created after Our Winter Love became such a hit, so the producers asked him to come up with other songs along with this. Also, Bill Pursell re-mixed Our Winter Love later in another version, its also very good but much simpler than this version in terms of arrangement and sound, but this version is the best. You can get the other version at some custom cd sites. But pick THIS album up now!"

A song that expresses what it feels like to be in love.

"In 1963, as an 18 year old,(the years went so fast)I heard and fell in love with this song as I was falling in love for the first time. When I hear this song, I can almost relive that time of wonder, joy, happiness, ecstasy, and, yes, heartbreak...All those things that go along with being in love. This song is THAT evocotive in my opinion.
If you have not heard it before, prepare to reexperience all those things again in your heart. It deserves a far better place in the realm of classics than has heretofore been shown. It definitely deserves more air play than it gets. Thank you Amazon for helping me to find this lost jewel."

A genuine "standard" for all time, classic and then some.

"Any serious audiophile would just glow in ecstasy listening to "Our Winter Love". If there is any one recording that defines an artists work, this is it! I first heard it in 1967, and I was swept away by all I heard. It's enchanting, and personifies absolute tranquility. No one can listen to this and not be affected. This is a treasure no one should miss in this lifetime. When I think of a "Masterpiece", Pursell comes to mind, although his work is not well known, it won't take anyone long to realize the brilliant works of Pursell have gone unnoticed for nearly three decades. "Our Winter Love" is just simply "AWESOME"!!! Need I say more."
