Mr. Kerwin Burton | Kirkland, WA | 01/07/2006 (1 out of 5 stars) "It pains me to do this as I regard Kevin Yost (as well as Timewriter) as one of the premier innovators of house music that have given it a new sound that is true to what house music is about (soulful, sometimes funky, often melodic, always makes you move). This CD does not even sound like Yost. I'll assume it's the Peter Funk influence. Just know that you will not be getting the detailed, sophisticated, arrangements that Yost does so amazingly. I wholly reccommend Yost's earlier efforts.
I am very dissapointed by this effort, and will remain a Yost fan, just sorry this one probably won't get near the play time as his other CD's I own." |
