Although at times it gets a little twangy for my tastes, overall it is a fine jazz guitar showpiece. One of my favorites is a beautiful, slow, classy jazz rendition of "The Christmas Song." The album does swing, although it's much different than all those big band swing Christmas albums. There aren't any second rate female vocalists trying to be torch singers to drag it down. It's almost all layered tracks of guitar with drum and bass to fill out the rhythm. A bright, upbeat gem."
