CD Reviews

Free-flowing vibrations; a Rastaman's dreamscape
08/02/1999
(5 out of 5 stars)

"If you've never been able to drop the same stale connection of listening to Marley, Tosh or Isaac....now is the time to let go of your inhabitions and reach out to the sound of Big Mountain. Imagine a day in the mountains and letting the cool vibrations and energy take you to a place where no Rastaman has a care in the world. If you're a climber or a backcountry traveller, this CD is a must for road trips. Catch a sample of Big Mountain's music in the video 'Pure Force', where Will Ott (B.A.S.E jumper) plunges off of cliffs around the world to the high energy sound of 'Beautiful Day' or climber Ron Kauk scaling perfect rock in the Yosemite High Country to the tune of 'Rastaman'. Unabashed and carefree! Experience everything that Big Mountain has to offer...."
WAKE UP to the sound of big mountain

"Though many of the songs lack a full band sound, the simplicity of the music and lyrics help to tell wonderful and inspiring stories. This is an album you can listen to any time, anywhere."
A must have for any reggae fan.

"The first time I seen these guys was in an underground construction site in San Diego, CA before they made it big. They blew my mind away. I was "easy skanking" all night with there positive vibration. The lyrics have meaning and keep you meditating long after the high's and low's fade away. This particular CD is a must have if you do not have any CD from these guys. Deffinatley the first one to buy. Thanks Big Mountain, especially for the Rastaman track."
