CD ReviewsMore hardcore battle rhymes from Corleone L. Clotman | Philly, PA | 06/15/2000 (5 out of 5 stars) "This guy is the Michael Jordan of rap--he has no weaknesses. In fact, the only thing I can criticize about this single is the production. Roc Raida could have done better, but having to produce a track to match the tempo of previously recorded lyrics isn't easy and Raida does nice job. And Mike Heron could have made my head nod a little more, but i like the scratchin (reminiscent of something Primo would do). But I'm just nitpicking, because Rawkus made it so difficult to find flaws here.As far as the lyrics are concerned, Big L could kick rhymes over a toe tap and make it sound phenomenal. His style is similar to what you would hear from Nas, AZ, Jay-Z and Biggie early in their careers--raw lyrical precision. ....I can't wait for the LP. R.I.P. Big L" Instant Classic!
