The end blues

"Big Joe Williams draws the world through his guitar. These songs concretize his agile and complex style rooted in the earth and the ends of the earth. Specifically, the last 8 tracks, originally released on vinyl in the 60's (I believe), speak to what drives life, and from a rural vantage that has been predominantly lost in out time. Finally, "Chain Gang Blues" (track 14) is a little-known collaboration of Big Joe and Little Walter. The combination of Walter's swinging, harsh harp and Williams' guitar is one of the high points of the Blues."
