Solid Midwest rock with some "Van Morrison" thrown in.

"This a very good CD with undeniable hooks/choruses. The highlights are the two Neil Young-related bookends, "Neil's On The Radio" (about Neil) and "Cinnamon Girl" (written by Neil). In the middle, there are songs that sound kind of like Morrison with backing from the Band. In that group are "Rewind", "Two-Lane Highway", "Anna Lee", "Georgia", "Hide Away", and "Summerfall". These songs have a bluesy quality that is missing from most country/rock releases. There are also some rockers such as "Miss You", "Not Gone Yet", and "Two Day Drunk". Along with the bookends, Burns seems to establish his own identity on these songs. We can hope for the sake of rock that they'll be big outside of Ohio (or Iowa). One day, maybe people will be comparing an artist to Big in Iowa. Highly recommended for fans of the Backsliders' Southern Lines as well."
