CD Reviews

"This CD is a hidden treasure from down-home Tennessee."
C. F. Munson | Gonzales, Texas, United States | 03/25/2001
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I first heard the lead vocalist, Monty Byrom, in a small forum at a ranch in NewArt, Texas. Mr. Byrom plays with incredible passion and it is easy to see he puts his whole being behind the music on this CD. This CD crosses the lines of generations, as both of my children and I have thoroughly enjoyed this collection of "back-home Tennessee sounds." The lyrics on "Cryin Town" truly hit home and moved me. "Soul Country" makes me want to hit the dance floor. I use this CD to workout, driving down the road, sitting in the hot tub, and most recently, snow skiing in the back bowls of Vail, Colorado. I hope to see these guys live again back down Texas way, as they will do well on the Austin scene. Big House offers a unique sound in a comfortable and easy soul stirrin' way. This sound track makes a great gift for a special friend."
You Gotta Get It!

"I Love Big House. From the first time I heard them I had to have the album. There is not one track that is not good. The music makes you want to dance. I pop it in the player and dance around the house doing housework. It makes it fun. Try it you will be hooked."
Country Soul Paradise

"The harmonies are tight, the instumentals hot, and the music makes you need - not want - to move. When I heard Big House for the first time on CMT I had to have their CD. That was in May 1997. The CD has not left my CD changer since, except long enough to replace it with a new copy of the same CD. I make long road trips about three times a year and this CD keeps me in the driving mood."
