CD Reviews

Eesh....

"Well, it's not bad. Like others mentioned, there are a few tracks that are like Bent's previous stuff and they're great but not as fantastic as some of their earlier, amazing singles. If you love the other 3 "released" cd's like I do, then this one will be the weakest of them. The first cd had some cheesy songs w/ cheesy "guy" singing but it kinda worked for me and had great beats and slide guitars & stuff in the music to make up for it. And they were just plain fun tracks inbetween absolutely amazing ones. Half this cd, which is under 50 mins., is pretty darn good and the other half is kinda crap. Where Ariels and the other cd's have me coming back for more listens, I find myself not really caring about this cd as much. I still have faith in them though- they'll come back with a better cd. -- I hope."
This is another excellent album from Bent

"Any true Bent fan will love this album. A few of the tracks do explore different territory from the usual Bent tunes, but at the same time, Bent have always been very versatile and experimental. At first listen I was a little dissapointed, but with any album that has depth and will stand the test of time, it takes a few listens for it to grow on you. This album did grow on me, and if you love Bent, it'll grow on you too. They have not gone downhill. In my opinion, Bent started out very strong with Programmed to Love, and they've stayed the course right through this release. Fantastic new album! Its my guess that the reviewer above (or below) that rated this album 2 stars either hasn't given it enough of a chance, or isn't a true Bent fan (no offense 2 star reviewer). Get this disc!"
Ah BENT, how could I ever have doubted you?

"I originally came to Amazon to buy this CD but was scared off by the negative reviews. And let's face it -- the short, lo-fi samples here don't always help fill in the gaps. But I came back and bought it anyway, and I LOVE it! There is enough of the classic Bent sound to make me feel at home while I go along for the ride, as they channel ELO harmonies, provide snappy hooks and otherwise offer much needed ear candy. As usual, they are detached enough to make you wonder if they take any of their pathos seriously, but I do. This ranks right up with the rest of their work, IMHO..."
