Julian | ThinkingOfthe USA | 11/17/2008 (3 out of 5 stars) "So i caught the tag line of 'my mum has gone to iceland' on BBC radio's 'The News Quiz', and as it sounded kinda green-dayish, - thought i'd get this single. Actually, i knew a lad whose mum had left the family and gone to iceland....it had an interesting premise.
Anyway - regrettably - the best part of the title song is the 4 second clip they played on the radio program, although i still quite like it. (finally figured out that Iceland in this case is a store not a country...duh )......the other 3 cuts are college rock multi-disposable to the point that the last one includes the vocal,'this is the last song we're going to play' (i think) and one can only be thankful. Profoundly. If you're a fan of BNL, - you might enjoy this - not my cuppa tea. " |
