Robert Holl, a native of Rotterdam, studied with the great Hans Hotter and has won many awards during his career of over 20 years. He is acknowledged as one of the greatest Lieder singers of our time, performing regularly with high acclaim in all the great music centers in Europe, Israel and the United States. This CD brings his exquisite artistry to songs by the three great Classical masters - Mozart, Haydn and Beethoven - reminding us that the German art-song was alive and well even before Franz Schubert.
