"It may be one of Streisands' earlier albums, but it certainly is one of her best."
Super Babs!

"I wanted to write a review, of this, my latest Barbra discovery. But so much has been said, and so well, that really, what's the point. But I'm gunna make it anyway. If you're reading this you already know Barbra rocks, and she never did it better than in the 70s: 'Stony End' and 'Butterfly' being two standouts. A great Streisand album needs four elements: great songs, great production, great voice and great album cover: Superman soars on all fronts (though some songs don't quite make the cut she breezes though on sheer chutzpa). She rocks, she shimmers and she croons, and she makes Billy Joel sound like a giant. Standout tracks include New York State Of Mind, Baby Me Baby (sappy, but great vocal and melody), and Superman. A great album in a sea of many."
One of her best!

"So i decided to check out Barbra stresiand's discography after hearing american idol alum jennifer hudson do a excellent cover of one her songs, plus we played one of her songs in band and we all thought it was too old school. Anyway, this as to be her best attempt at r and b. Alot of the songs give me chills, and have excellent vocals. I find that this has to be one of her best works! Some may disagree!Baby me baby was my favorite tracks from the album. To me it doesnt sound like your typical streisand song! It's very good! Superman is pretty good, it def. sets the mood for the album that this is not going to be your typical streisand broadway album! The only track i thought was ok was my heart belongs to me. I thought that was so-so. Overall, this a great album, and people should def. get this cd."
