"If you found yourself loving Enya's song "Ebudae" for it's Gaelic language and dreamy beauty then this may just be the CD for you. Be forewarned, the only musical accompaniment for all the songs on this CD is a simple drum beat to keep the rhythm, not the lush synthesizers etc. found on the Enya song. However, I find this to be a great benefit to this CD as it leaves the singers at center stage to do what they do best. All the songs are sung in Gaelic. Standout tracks are 3 and 9 as they have a little more oomph than the others but understand, each song is GREAT! This is one disc that really deserves more than 5 Amazon stars as I think it stands out above others. I also have the CD "A Waulking Tour of Scotland" but the name of it is deceptive as it contains mostly non-waulking songs, is more modern in sound, but is still an OK CD. I also have the CD "Gaelic Women" which contains a few fine waulking songs(e.g. track 3) along with some other beautiful tracks, but it's not specifically a "waulking" CD like this one is. I hope Bannal put out some more CDs and that I can see them sing live some day.track 3, 9"
