"Bangor Flying Circus was way ahead of its time! These Chicago area music vets did Beatle-esque material (e.g. Norwegian Wood on the album) and also rocked with the best. They were an original "power trio" and I had the pleasure of seeing them live several times! Long live the "Circus"!!! I urge anyone who likes progressive rock for the ages to listen to this CD."
Great band...

"Bangor Flying Circus was an amazing ensemble both from a writing and playing perspective, with three virtuosos; "Hawk" Wolinski, "Addison Al" DeCarlo, and one of the finest drummers to ever live, Mike Tegza. Mike was replaced by drum technician Ross Salamone, and as strong as Ross was, the band was never as satisfying when they became Madura. As a fellow drummer from Chicago (I joined The Shadows of Knight about a year after "Hawk" left the band), I would buy any recording that had Tegza on it.
I hope these three guys are alive and well and still playing music; if not together, at least somewhere.

Jazz-rock at its best

"This is the band that inspired me to pick up the guitar and become a musician. I saw them in concert several times in the late 60's. This album contains some the hottest and most tasteful jazz-rock guitar solos I've ever heard. The writing and arranging is excellent. The band really cooks on everything. Their smoking arrangement of "Norwegian Wood" has some awesome drum fills.I've got this on vinyl, but I don't own this remastered edition, so I can only vouch for the origin peformance, but it's first-rate. If you enjoy guitar players like Terry Kath and Frank Zappa, you really should check this one out."
Terribly Re-Mastered!!

"I purchased this CD with the hope that they didn't kill the sound of analog completely with the processing. Sorry to say that modern technology has once again butchered the warmth of analog for the sake of a "pop and skip" free recording. This is what happens when the personnel in the studios are tone deaf! Some things are better left alone. Never saw this group perform, but did see the group they evolved to - Madura. Way ahead of their time."
Nothing like it!

"An awesome display of Jazz Rock with some tasty harmonies, very good guitar work with some added scat vocals for flavor. Drummer Michael Tegza from the once 60's group H P LoveCraft and the ever present Hawk Wolinski who graced many an album as guest artis and then to go on to the backing group 'Rufus' for the great Chaka Khan. Those that had the pleasure to see this dynamic trio live had an experience of a lifetime as never again will a group be so unique and yet so passed by the public. A band way ahead of thier time, a CD that will live on as a cult favorite for the experienced listener of a quality taste."
