CD Reviews

3rd solo is pretty good

(4 out of 5 stars)

"After a year and a half since his 2nd solo album (which flopped) Bad went independent and put out one just a quarter notch lower then his sophomore release, worthy of 4 stars (just passing the cut), but not near as good as his debut album. Only 11 songs on this one, and everyone is produced by Big Hollis (who has very good beats but not enough for a whole album, and it shows as some of these are lame but others are great). Guests are once again on the heavy side, on all but 1 song, and they aren't his ol' LBC homies or Low LIfes boyz (other then LiL Tip). They rap on 7 and do hooks on 3 others, so once again Bad Azz is one of the best kept secrets from the west coast. It has no classic, 1 I skip, 3 are ok, the other 7 are good songs. A good album to have for his fane but not his best work.

I enjoy this CD

"I actually got this CD in an interesting way. Bad Azz actually contacted me online and met up with me in Portland. We first met inperson at a mall. I didnt know his music. So I had him go to the CD store with me and ask for his owe CD! They didnt have any new ones in so we had to get a used one. Dont think he liked that very much. So Bad Azz actually bought me his owe CD. Now who else can say that?

So I heard his music for the first time in my car with him sitting next to me. Its the weirdest thing having the rapper himself rapping his own songs next to you in your car. But thats my life, surreal.

I listened to his CD in my own time. And I really got into it. And I'm not just saying that cause he's my friend. But cause I really have enjoyed his CD.

It has good beats, and songs that stay in your head. And thats how I know this is a good CD. When you feel like you got to hear a song again and again.

And I can tell you cause I know him personally that Bad Azz is a good, cool guy to hang out with."
