Beautiful

"If you enjoy light classical music that is uplifting, but not intrusive, you will be pleased with this. I like the harpsichord, and I find this very relaxing as background to a good book or conversation. I play it over and over in my office at home and at work, and never tire of the sound. Can't help you much technically, but if you enjoy classical, I think you'll like this!"
Among the finest recordings of baroque music!

"This disc is wonderful! Mr. Vogel and co. play baroque music in a far more musically engaging manner than any of the so-called "period instrument" or "historically informed" chamber ensembles. Mr. Vogel's beautiful phrasing and warm tone are a highlight of this suberb disc."
Bach's Likely Music to Play with Friends/Family

"How outstanding to learn that one of Bach's brothers was an oboeist, and just think what they played to celebrate his brother's receiving spot on King of Sweden's orchestra. So, this is collection of what JS and brother and friends might have played, done on period instruments.Allan Vogel provides just a breathtaking performance on oboe and oboe d'amore. The other instrumentalists do an equally wonderful job, with flute, viola, and harpsichord. There are pieces by such as Telemann, Couperin as well as JS's works themselves. Delightful, lilty, graceful music. Cheers one up just to listen, however, equally great to play as background for appetizers and/or dining enjoyment."
