"I just want to reiterate everything I said in praise of Vol. 1 in this set, with a few additions. There is what sounds like a small patch of bad intonation in the 2nd Partita, although this could be an artifact of the recorded sound rather than a muff by the soloist. Anyway, the piece goes quite well, capped by a clear and never overstated performance of the famous Chaconne. I especially enjoyed the reading of the 3rd Partita. In its dance movements, Edinger is just as technically secure as Heifetz, without giving up her pristine and burnished tone. She also makes a real meal out of the Fugue in the 3rd Sonata; large scale structures seem to be mother's milk to Edinger. So let me just say again that this is one of the outstanding bargains in the catalog, worth adding to your collection no matter whose other performances you may have."
