"I really like this CD. There is no vibrato. The speed is not too slow. It seems like a very historically informed performance. And it's very expressive! If there's anything bad about it, I'd say the harpsichord was too loud compared to the vioal da gamba, I keep catching myself turning it louder to hear the viola better and then I realize the harpsichord is getting pretty loud) but I guess the viola is soft by nature. Also the CD only has the 3 sonatas so it's about 35-40 minutes.I'm just happy they used a real viola da gamba here (in other recordings I bought, they play it on just a regular viola and transpose some of the notes since the regular viola doesn't have the range of a viola da gamba).I really recommend this. My favorite version."
