Synopsis

Album Description
This re-issue series offers some of the finest recordings from Virgin Classics' catalog together with new assets brought to the label, all performed by first-rate performers and offered at an attractive price. This third batch of 5 new titles offers three remarkable recordings from Virgin Classics' early days, including Gundula Janowitz singing Richard Strauss, the Nash Ensemble in Beethoven's Septet and Clarinet Trio, and Libor Pesek conducting Mà Vlast. The other two releases are from the Aria catalog, presenting for the first time Felicity Lott's lovely recording of French songs with orchestra, and reissuing at mid-price François-René Duchâble's Beethoven, Bach, Mozart, and Scarlatti recital.
