Synopsis

Album Description
2009 release, the fourth album from the Polish Death Metal masters. Praise The Beast contains 11 dark and sinister tracks of blistering speed and crushing brutality! This well-crafted opus features Inferno (Behemoth) on drums, as well as members of Damnation, Yattering, and Witchmaster. The heavy, pummeling sound unwraps a thunderstorm of raging guitars, mangling bass, blasting drums and wicked growls, spewing forth utter darkness. Deathgasm.

Absolutely Amazing

(5 out of 5 stars)

"Azarath are the best death/black metal band no one knows about. I stumbled across them I was impressed with Inferno's drumming in Behemoth and saw he was in this band as well. Iwas a little weirded out at first, but like any good band they grew on me. They take the dirty/evil sound of black metal and play it with death metal sensibilities. The result is fantastic, "I hate your kind"'s churning metal storm gives way to the freight train that is "Sacrifice of Blood." "Invocation" follows, my personal favorite with some of the best guitar work on the album. The whole album is consistently good, not a second of filler (unless you count the intro). It ends with the awesome instrumental "From beyond the coldest star" which sort of winds things down, leaving the listener blown away and ready to hit the play button once again. If you like this get "Diabolus Impious Evil" it rocks as well."
