""Ricochentrance" is the work of noted Japanese noise artist AUBE (Akifume Nakajima), and is aural experience created entrely from the sampled and reprocessed sound of water. The four pieces on the CD are characterized by their use of water as a sound source, but they're all subtly different. Each piece starts quietly, then evolves slowly into a masterpiece of abstract minimalist trance music, which demands active participation from the listener. AUBE has earned a reputation for crafting powerful and expressive music which is in a realm of it's own, and goes far beyond simple defintions such as "ambient" or "atmospheric." "Richochentrance" comes in a full-color cardstock sleeve, packed inside a multi-fold 6 inch by 8 inch textured paper cover designed by the artist, all sealed in a heavy-gauge plastic cover. It's limited to 1000 copies and will not be reprinted.
