They recorded two great demos tapes that they released in Knoxville,Tn during the time Justin and David was also tearing up the hardcore scene with THUMBNAIl. (GREAT BAND CHECK THEM OUT IF YOU HAVE NOT) Anyways Thumbnail broke up Atombomb moved to Chicago and released an ep with american records last year. Which brings us to ALPHASOUNDSAlphasounds is a great record that mixes hardcore,emo with indie pop. Moments of the cd bring to mind early Sebadoh. Justins voice sounds better than ever. "New Future Ride" could be all over modern radio."America the Great" kicks the album off in a rocking groove and"Slide" finishes it off with a Pink Floydish style psycho trip. Overall its a great record that should put Atombomb in the spotlight of the indie rock media but as we walk through the valley of korn againstthe biscuit rip off bands its just great to hear a band doing their own thing.Buy it for the originality if nothing else."
