"I have designed this practice to help you go further "in" to your heart, to the seed of your soul through your Hatha Yoga practice. While you will always feel the physical benefits of these practices, I feel that it is time that we bring our Yoga to a deeper place. . . to the heart of the soul. Enjoy asanas that create more vibrant space throughout your body, more radiant health in all of it's functioning and deeper, quieter peace in your mind.Because there are 3 CD's and different levels of practice, these yoga sessions are ideal for both the beginner and for seasoned practitioners. Even the more advanced yogi will benefit by taking the Gentle practice some days - to soften and round their practice. By tuning in to listening for instruction, you can now go a bit more inside, instead of always watching a video screen. I am especially proud of the third CD, Pranayama for Meditation. By brining our full attention to the breath, our yoga practices will become meditations in motion and take on life and discovery. Here is 40 minutes where you can "take a deep breath".The new music on this set of 3 CDs is a beautiful rich tapestry of Indian and Western instruments played in a most magical way by wonderful Maui musicians. The music alone soothes the soul.It is my great honor to offer this set to you for your home or travel practice. Thank you for supporting these teachings. Om Shanti Om"

"I find this a welcome addition to my yoga cd collection. For me yoga is not only for keeping fit but its a spiritual journey and Ateeka's cd embodies this. Her instructions are clear and her voice calming and easy to listen to. Its great having 2 seperate flow classes to choose from. EMPOWER for days when you are full of energy and ENLIGHTEN for days when you need to go easy!I mix this cd with Yoga Chant and Yoga Sanctuary, (both from Shiva Rea) and I seem to have a class to fit every mood. So glad I bought it, Thanks Ateeka!!"

"I love this CD! It is a slower moving flow that gives you time to really get into each pose. There is a booklet included that has pictures of all the poses. I found the instructor's voice soothing and her instructions clear.
There are three workouts on this one CD. First, there is a 70 minute more challenging routine that takes you through sun salutes, standing poses, backbends, and forward bends. The second workout is also 70 minutes and is gentle with more focus on seated poses. Finally, there is 45 minute practice that is mostly just relaxation and breathing.
This would be for someone with some experience (like with a beginner's DVD workout or class so that you can be familiar with poses and actually see them being done)but you don't have to be an expert.

"These CDs are an excellent substitute for a live teacher, especially for those who may be new to the practice. Ateeka's voice and style are nurturing and easy to follow, with a perfect amount of "coaching". Her focus on getting out of our practice what we need "today" is especially useful for fighting any obsessions with perfection.
I have a few other "virtual" teachers in my library, but she's the one I return to most often."

"This is a lovely and well rounded yoga practice and I am so happy to have this in my yoga collection. There are three cd's, each one is a different practice.
The first cd is pranayama (breathing exercises). I don't use that one very often but a few months ago I injured my shoulder and had to take a break from the physical practice, I did this pranayama exercise every day for a couple weeks and I felt wonderful, relaxed and clean. I also believe it helped my shoulder heal faster!
The second cd is titled Enlighten and is supposed to be a more gentle phscal practice. This is a good exercise for those that haven't exercised in a while or for those days when you are tired and or sore from the previous days workout. I always feel relaxed and refreshed after this.
The third cd is titled Empower and is meant to be a strong practice. This practice is the one I do the most, I just love it! it seems to be based in ashtanga and would be a good workout for someone who hasn't quite been able to do the whole primary series. I really feel I am able to work on my breath in this exercise, the poses seem to be held for the right amount of time. I just don't get enough of a workout if it moves too fast. I like how you need to move gracefully and with strength in each pose for example, slowly lifting your legs together from halasana (plow) to shoulder stand. this workout is not the strongest I have, if I want a really strong one I do David Swenson primary series or put together a workout with Shiva Rea's Yoga Shakti. I keep coming back to this though, I feel so good after I do it.
Ateeka has a lovely warm calming voice and uses beautiful imagery in the poses. She definitely is spiritual about her yoga which I don't mind. I like to hear what inspires or how a teacher feels about their yoga, it doesn't mean you have to feel the same way, it is just another perspective and can help you see things in a new way. I would recommend this to seasoned yoga practitioners and beginners who are taking classes as there is not a lot of instuction on alignment.
