New Order meets Pulp in a Barcelona tapas bar

"After some hunting on the internet, I found out that Astrud is a two-man combo from Barcelona. This is their first release, a six-song EP from 1998. It's an excellent collection, and moves from the swirling techno of "Superman" to the pop humor of "Lemongirl." "Algo Cambio" is a cover of Pulp's "Something Changed" and is, for lack of a better brain, awesome. I'm kind of sleepy right now and can't write anything memorable, but I promise you, this CD is amazing. Everyone I know who's heard my copy has bought themselves one. As for the LP "Mi Fracaso Personal," it's on Virgin Records Spain, yet Virgin US hasn't released it in the States yet. Stupid. With the success of rock en espanol and the Watcha tour, I think it would be a great idea. I haven't received my copy of it yet, but the title track is quite good."
