"If you like classic R&B that is lacked by most artist, with the exception of D'Angelo, Lauryn Hill, and Maxwell, then you'll love this CD. One of the few projects that could be listen to from beginning to end. This group from the Bay Area has managed to capture the secret of complete artistry by placing songs on their album which relates to just about everyone who appreciates music. whether you are a fan of Curtis Mayfield, Jodeci, Take 6, or "TonyToniTone", there's a song for you. The only unfortionate thing for this group is how their album was marketed. Hopefully the label will realize this group's full potential to set standards in this industry, and put forth some effort(MONEY)to make their sophmore album just as good, if not better than their first. I recommend this album to all my people. Enjoy"

"Beautiful yet spare, this trio has never received the commercial success that it rightly deserves. If this album had been released a few years later, it would probably be a favorite of neo-soul fans, but most people experimenting with new music in 1996 were too obsessed with crudeness and subversity to really care."
