"I Ran Away" to buy this CD!

"On the recommendation of a friend, I bought a CD of theirs in Toronto, Ontario without even hearing the sound of the band and I'm not sorry I did. "Idiot Road" is another classic CD from the Arrogant Worms of Kingston, Ontario. This is not my favorite CD of theirs, but nonetheless, a must have for any Worms fan. It is hard to find a band to compare the Arrogant Worms to. They are like Weird Al in a sense of his original, quirky compositions, but they are also like Moxy Fruvous or early Barenaked Ladies. If you are a fan of any of these 3, then you will like the Arrogant Worms. The track listing on the CD is as follows:Idiot Road: "Granny's doing 30 in the passing lane; that tailgater behind you's got his bumper on your brain"Boy Band: "Cuz we're singing in a boy band; the words are stupid and the music's bland; we'll never see a dime from our to the man; yeah we're a boy band"We Are The Beaver: "You might think that a rodent is a pretty lame choice for a national animal but don't you listen to that voice"Baby Poo: "I used to talk about Communism, Socialism, Capitalism; I used to talk about all those isms but now I'm a dad and all I talk about is..."Fuzzy Dice: "And I'll dress you up in Fuzzy Dice; a license plate that glows and chrome exhaust pipes"I Ran Away: "I ran away yes I ran away; Danger stared me in the face and I ran away; my sister was grounded for 3 years and a day so I said she was adopted and then I ran away"Trichinosis: "'Though I could still taste the pig squeal; Now I'm weak and losing focus; I think you gave me trichinosis"Billy the Theme Park Shark: "I'm a shark, I'm a shark, I'm dumber than a tree, I only have 3 thoughts and they are eat, swim, eat"Stalker Girl: "Truck stop food and smelly roadies are not nearly as scary as that girl who's at every show"Worst Seat on the Plane: "Got my boarding pass and found out alas that I was seated in the middle of the row"Really Scary: "I take up a collection at the bar next day; and everybody gives to the cause; to rent a helicopter that will take this whale to Cuba and free the horizon from his bulk"Drink With Me: "I threw up on my girlfriend and we got into a fight; Man, oh man what a farging great night"Bonus Track: Mrs. Catto Loves Her Budgie: "She reads the horoscopes out loud; she reads them to her budgie; she puts on her favorite blouse; and she shows it to her budgie"My favorite songs on this CD are: Idiot Road (as we can all relate to driving where idiots are on the road)
Boy Band (those pretty boys that the teenyboppers love)
I Ran Away (how many of you had your brothers blame something on you?)
Stalker Girl (if you've ever followed a band around, there are always one of these at the shows)
Drink With Me (which sounds like a take-off on the band Great Big Sea)If anyone has not seen them in concert go as soon as you can! I've finally saw them this year and it was best concert I've been to in a long time. A show filled with comedy and music that will have you rolling on the floor with laughter. What is great about the liner notes of this CD are the Canadian Driver's Licenses of the band members that state "Signature: This CD void if not signed." So you must have this CD signed for it to be valid. ;)"
A whimsical band of merry minstrels.

""Baby Poo" is the anthem for new parents everywhere, people who once were able to participate in intelligent conversations on diverse topics -- until the arrival of a darling child derailed every train of thought and reduced all other considerations to a contemplation of the baby's digestive tract. This lovely topic is usually avoided in polite company, but the Worms have brought it out into the sunlight for all to see, joyfully set to a catchy tune. It's hard to get out of your head after hearing it once, much less a few dozen times. No, don't worry, the rest of the album has nothing to do with poop.Take my word for it, these guys are a talented bunch of musical nuts whose songs will get stuck in your head. Who knows, you might even find yourself reaching for the "repeat" button for just one more spin through "Baby Poo.""
I love them but...

"If you are already a worms fan, this is a must. But if you have not heard them yet, I suggest their self titled Album first or Live bait. These are their better albums and would make a better introduction. This album is well worth getting (I bought 3 additional copies as gifts,)but as an introduction you might aswell start with the best."
