April Verch is known for being one of the world's finest fiddlers and performers of Canadian traditional music, but in this recording she also reaches deep into the heart of traditional music of the United States. She approaches this music with the same richness, charm, beauty and respect with which she plays the fine music of the Ottawa Valley. That's How We Run features April's road band (Clay Ross - guitar, vocals; Cody Walters - bass, clawhammer banjo, vocals), but this time out there's also a dandy selection of guests, including Chris Sharp and Bob Carlin of the John Hartford String Band, old-time master musicians Rayna Gellert, Riley Baugus and Dirk Powell, and the fabulous Bobby Hicks.
