Finland's April write melodies, compositions and arrangements that mean more to them than just belting 'em out with full force. April is more, much more! It's only logical that Tero Kinnunen (known for his work with million-selling Nightwish) was singled out to be the producer of April's debut album. Tidelines turns out a real gem,filled to the brim with virtuoso vocals and gigantic riffing as well as beautiful and balanced songwriting. It's definitely heavy metal but with alternative rock and pop music flavours. For once, it's justified to say that the band has built its fan base with hard work and relentless touring, without anyone's help. They've taken the stage by storm on both of the major Finnish metal bacchanals, Sauna Open Air and Tuska metal fest! All this when they were still a demo band. No small feat, but there is much more to come. So much more.
