"April Stevens has always been one of my favorite singers. She was the first vocalist to "whisper" lyrics, and countless imitators have flattered her ever since. But there's only ONE April Stevens, and she's in fine voice on Carousel Dreams, both the title song (very bitter-sweet song-about-life ballad), and everything else on this great CD, like I Understand, Once Upon A Very Special Time, How Did He Look, Please Be Gentle, To Sleep Perchance To Dream, I Remember, I Never Loved Anyone Like I Love You, and To Sleep Perchance To Dream. Produced by her talented brother Nino Tempo, this warm and wonderful listening experience is sweet and simply presented. The listener is treated to some great lyrics, and one of the true musical Greats of all time. April Stevens Carousel Dreams is one dream of a CD!"
