"Peter Milton Walsh does something amazing on the Apartments album Fête Foraine: he removes a layer of skin from his already quivering words and music, which makes this recording almost unbearably intimate. The songs are taken from the three albums The Evening Visits, Drift and A Life Full of Farewells, but are recorded in acoustic arrangements for guitar, piano and flugelhorn. The price of this import CD may be fairly high, but even at twice the cost, it would still be a 'must have'. FêteForaine is a gem with few counterparts in music."

"It's the best melodies revisted in subdued accoustic arrangements.
A sure purchase if you enjoyed Drift and Life Full of Farewells. My only negatives would be "Cannot tell the days apart" was left off---AND---I would have enjoyed more piano but then this sound was showcased on LFoF. So I waited 6 months for this CD and it'a a great late nighter. If you like Red House Painters or Ben Folds, Snag this and enjoy."
