A Gorgeous Surprise

"After listening to a lot of mediocre forgetful cast recordings, I happened to find this one at the Pasadena CA Library. Wow! What a discovery! Every song is a winner. Charles Strouse has written one hummable memorable melody after another, and the dialog bits between songs allow you to follow the plot, something that most cast recordings don't allow. A real shame it's not in print."

"The soundtrack for Annie Warbucks is very hard to find, probably due to it's unsuccessful run off-Broadway. Even though it wasn't popular in 1993, I love the CD! All of the singers are excellent! My favorite songs are "It Would Have Been Wonderful," "Leave it to the Girls," and "Changes." The lyrics are wonderful and full of emotion and expression, and the music will keep you humming all day!... It's a wonderful CD and I would recommend buying it! You won't be sorry!"

"This isn't that bad. The songs are catchy. Annie gets a little annoying, she is no Andrea McCardle. I don't reccommended buying it, but definetely try to get a copy to listen to once."
