CD Reviews

Anne of Green Gables Music
A. Kirby | Minnesota | 04/17/2008
(2 out of 5 stars)

"This music isn't nearly as good as the original Harwood Hagardy edition from the original."
Soothing and fun

"The music on the "Winter Pleasures" album ranges from soothing and melodic to energetic and feisty. The majority of the tracks on here are from "Road to Avonlea," though a few are from "Anne of Green Gables: The Continuing Story." Unfortunately, I didn't recognize any from the first two AOGG movies; and I've seen both movies dozens of times. Still, the music is nice. It'd be perfect to play in the background at a Holiday party. I listen to it in the car on the commute to work and it's very comforting (though sometimes I have to shut it off because it's SO soothing it almost puts me to sleep!) If you're a fan of Anne (or Road to Avonlea) and classical music, I'd recommend this."
